We currently are looking for a civil engineer I, hydraulic engineer, land survey technician/intern, and licensed land surveyor for our Driggs, Idaho, or Jackson, Wyoming, offices. Hydraulic Engineer
This is a full-time, temporary position for a particular project through the end of 2023. However, transitioning to a full-time, permanent position is possible. Work can be completed fully remote, on site, or hybrid.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- BS civil engineering
- FE license with ability and desire to obtain PE license in the future.
- Proficient with ArcMap/GIS Pro, HEC-RAS, GeoHEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and other hydrologic and hydraulic models.
- Must have high attention to detail and good oral and written communication skills.
- Self-starter, enthusiastic learner, and ability to work independently and as a team.
- Demonstrate the willingness, enthusiasm, and positive attitude to excel and overcome challenges.
- Work with project team to complete hydrologic models for watersheds, 1D and 2D hydraulic models for streams, and floodplain mapping.
- Prepare engineering calculations and reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Civil CAD Drafter
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in CAD drafting or similar experience
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Civil 3D or other computer aided drafting programs.
- Must have high attention to detail and good oral and written communication skills.
- Self-starter, enthusiastic learner, and ability to work independently and as a team.
- Demonstrate the willingness, enthusiasm, and positive attitude to excel and overcome challenges.
- Work with project team to draft site civil engineering aspects of residential, multi-family, commercial, and municipal projects.
- Use AutoCAD/Civil 3D to prepare engineering plans for roadways, sanitary sewers (both small scale and large scale), water systems, irrigation systems, stormwater systems, and grading plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
Civil Engineer I
Qualifications:
- BS civil engineering or environmental engineering.
- FE license with ability and desire to obtain PE license in the future.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Civil 3D or other computer aided drafting programs.
- Must have high attention to detail and good oral and written communication skills.
- Self-starter, enthusiastic learner, and ability to work independently and as a team.
- Demonstrate the willingness, enthusiasm, and positive attitude to excel.
- Work with project team to design site civil engineering aspects of residential, multi-family, commercial, and municipal projects.
- Prepare engineering plans for roadways, sanitary sewers (both small scale and large scale), water systems, irrigation systems, stormwater systems, and grading plans.
- Prepare engineering calculations and reports.
- Assist with construction site visits and observations.

Summer Land Survey Intern*
*Paid internship position for summer 2023
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Interest or education in land surveying, civil engineering, or construction management.
- Willingness to learn and a good attitude.
- Have good written and oral communication skills and be a team player.
- Can physically perform the requirements of the position (must be able to lift 50 pounds and travel through rugged terrain).
- Demonstrate the enthusiasm and positive attitude to show up on time.
- Work outdoors in inclement weather as well as in a professional office environment.
- Microsoft Office, drafting, and geomatic software skills are a plus, but are not mandatory.
- Willingness to travel to remote job sites for extended periods of time.
- A current driver’s license in good standing & ability to operate company owned vehicles. Ability to operate watercraft on rivers a plus.
- Work under the supervision of and report to the Survey Department Manager.
- Work in the field on topographic, boundary, transportation, and construction surveys as a part of a two-person field crew, and as a one-person crew as experience progresses.
- Take accurate and clear field notes, sketches, and photos for use and review by project managers and design staff.
- Perform field calculations that may be needed for construction, including closing and adjusting level loops and field traverses.
- Perform basic office duties, including data reduction, field note scanning and filing, calculations, data checks.
- Use proper safety equipment and follow proper field safety procedures.
- Help ensure company equipment, including vehicles, are in proper working order and are maintained regularly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Professional Land Surveyor
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of land survey experience.
- PLS or ability to obtain PLS within 12 months of employment.
- Knowledge of the Public Land Survey System.
- Experience with GPS receivers and controllers as well as Robotic total station experience, including Trimble Business Center.
- Strong knowledge of boundary, construction, and topographic surveying.
- Have a good understanding of construction plans and subdivision plats.
- Have good written and oral communication skills and be a team player.
- Can physically perform the requirements of the position (must be able to lift 50 pounds and travel through rugged terrain).
- Demonstrate the willingness, enthusiasm, and positive attitude to show up on time.
